The Digital Native Debate

The Digital Native debate has been publicized and a topic of interest in education circles globally for the past decade. The main topic of debate is that digital native brains are different than digital immigrants. Another underlying issue behind this debate is  what are some ways of improving our youth's educational system for those whose who are considered digital native? How do we make our lesson plans more digitally involved?  Our educational system, as a whole, needs to evolve digitally as humans ourselves evolve and change.

Upon reflection of this topic I do believe in digital native. I see young children, even  toddlers,
with i Touches, iPad, and iPhone's. These children are playing games, watching video's and constantly have digital interaction. This daily digital upbringing changes our the brains thought process. The knowledge of the internet at ones fingure tips changes how to retrieve and retain information. The blog below shares incite on my view's on digital natives and immigrants.

  1. It is a bit difficult to read your blog this week - I prefer the white text on the black background rather than the white highlights. Is something happening with your theme?
